Exercise White Water Debrief Takes Place

A full multi-agency debrief has taken place to discuss the lessons identified at Staffordshire's recent flood exercise.

The debrief took place at Tillington Hall Hotel in Stafford on Tuesday 1 December 2009.

Representatives from 24 organisations attended the afternoon session, including the military, emergency services, local authorities, health authorities and the voluntary sector.

Colleagues from West Mercia Local Resilience Forum chaired the meeting, to provide an impartial view.

Director of Civil Contingencies, Andy Marshall said "This was an excellent opportunity for the Staffordshire Resilience Forum partnership to identify a range of key lessons that came up as a result of Exercise White Water.  These will now be formally recorded in a post-exercise report, which will, in turn, enable the partnership to make specific improvements to the Staffordshire Emergency Flood Plan."
