An acknowledged expert in the field of business continuity management, Andy Osborne has spent over twenty years helping many and varied organisations, across a broad range of industry sectors, to develop, implement, prove and maintain their business continuity capability.

Andy has worked with a large number of clients in sectors as diverse as financial services, insurance, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, local government, health, retail, publishing, education, transport, housing, travel and IT services. He has been actively involved in the implementation and ongoing support of the business continuity management programmes of a number of major organisations in the UK, Europe and the United States.

Andy’s first book, “Practical Business Continuity Management” was published in September 2007 to critical acclaim and has sold copies worldwide. His second book “Risk Management Simplified” was published in January 2010. His other writing includes his popular ‘Tip of the Month’ and ‘Oz’s Business Continuity Blog’, which can be viewed at www.acumen-bcp.co.uk/blog

Andy regularly presents on business continuity and risk management. He is an active member of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and is the founder and former chairman of the BCI’s UK North Midlands forum, one of the most popular and well attended of the regional forums. He was shortlisted for Business Continuity Consultant of the Year in 2008 and 2010.

Andy lives in Evesham with his wife, two teenage sons, one dog, one rat, assorted chickens and ducks and several thousand bees! He confesses to being a keen gardener and beekeeper and an enthusiastic, though largely untalented golfer, guitarist and juggler.
