Training & Exercises

Training & Exercises

This section of the website is intended to detail the training courses and exercises provided by the Civil Contingencies Unit for Staffordshire Resilience Forum partners.

The training and exercising of staff is fundamental to any organisation in building its ability to respond to all types of emergencies.

In addition to the statutory obligations placed on Category 1 responders under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (CCA), training and exercising staff also raises awareness of the types of incidents that we may face here in Staffordshire and provides an opportunity for members of the SRF partnership to meet other responders and understand what skills and expertise they possess. In order to assist your organisation in meeting those needs, the Staffordshire Civil Contingencies Unit (CCU) has put together this multi-agency Training and Exercise prospectus.

The CCU have been given accreditation status by the CPD Certification Service and this should should help all of the Unit’s funding partners and our own staff really get the most out of training and exercising through the CCU.  I would actively encourage anyone who is interested in training or exercising with the Unit to visit the Staffordshire Prepared website to find out more about the wide range of opportunities that are available and currently in development.

With a few clicks of a mouse, it will give you access to the range of courses and events that are run by the CCU and even allow you to book a place on them.

The CCU have designed a number of flyers giving more general information on the training courses and exercises that we offer.
