Biography:

Marie joined the Unit in September 2005 on a job share basis between her new role as a Civil Contingencies Officer whilst continuing with her role for the Fire Service as a Fire Control Operator in a busy emergency services operations environment after being sponsored by the Fire Service to attend a course at Coventry University and successfully achieving a Diploma in Emergency Planning.  Marie went on to further this training with a second Diploma in Business Continuity Management in 2008. 

Marie is a dedicated member of the team and is able to prioritise work, deliver to deadlines, work under pressure and be flexible depending upon what is required at a moments notice.  This has been demonstrated on several occasions be that to her stakeholders, her colleagues or to any of the SRF partners during training, exercising or real incidents as the CCU’s Duty Officer.  Marie has a good working knowledge of all the computer systems in use in the CCU and an excellent general knowledge of the topography of the county of Staffordshire from her 9½ years in Fire Control.
