Biography:

Mel joined the CCU in June 2008, having formerly served as an Emergency Planning Officer with Essex County Council and Basildon District Council.  Mel provides specialist advice, support and guidance to the CCU's NHS stakeholders.  In addition, he also supports Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and Stafford Borough Council.

Prior to entering Civil Contingencies, Mel was a member of the RAF and is also a qualified teacher.
