The Pitt Review

In August 2007, Sir Michael Pitt was asked by Ministers to conduct an independent review of the flooding emergency that took place in June and July 2007.

Director of Civil Contingencies, Andy Marshall commented: "The Staffordshire Resilience Forum (SRF) has been actively engaged in the Pitt Review process, and welcomes its publication.

The Civil Contingencies Unit (CCU) continues to work on the second draft of the Staffordshire Emergency Flood Plan (SEFP), and will now consider implementing any new recommendations from the final report of the Pitt Review in this document. Formal consultation of the draft SEFP will commence in August 2008".

The final Pitt Review was published on 25 June 2008.
