SRF Conference

"Working together in emergencies - you're part of a team" Conference

Thursday 19 June 2008

09:30 - 16:15

Yarnfield Park Training & Conference Centre

In an emergency, as a Category 1 responder, your organisation could be expected to lead on the response that will safeguard local people's safety and potentially save lives.

Did you know how resilience partners work together in Staffordshire and how others can help and support you?

Will you be properly prepared when an emergency hits in your area?

This FREE conference for Chief Executives, Directors, emergency planning teams and press and communications officers will bring together Staffordshire's key resilience partners, namely blue light services, local authorities, healthcare trusts, Government agencies, utilities and voluntary services.

At the 'Working together in emergencies conference' you will hear from key note speakers including solicitor Mark Scoggins who represented the Metropolitan Police in legal proceedings following the fatal shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes at Stockwell Tube Station in 2005 and Andy Fraser from the Civil Contingencies Secretariat.

The day will also feature four interactive workshops:

A   Media: how to work with the media during a crisis

B   From Consultation to Command

C   Partnerships: who to contact and when

D   Flooding in Staffordshire and how the new Staffordshire Emergency Flood Plan will work

Book early as places are limited!
