Tackling illegal waste together

A number of large-scale sites within Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent have been used to dump illegal waste. Not only does the dumped waste smell and attract flies, it is also a huge fire risk for properties and the local area and for the road network. It can also be toxic.

To combat this crime, we’re reminding residents, businesses and visitors to our county to dispose of their waste correctly; and asking you to report suspicious activities to the local authorities or Crimestoppers.

Need to know when your bin collection is, or what time your local recycling centre opens in Staffordshire or Stoke-on-Trent

The Environment Agency offers useful advice to businesses on their waste responsibilities here: www.rightwasterightplace.com
